GRACE Association Pakistan organized a creative four days Art Roots Workshop for GRACE Public School students and staff in collaboration with the young Artist Anwer Ali Muhib who came from Karachi on a special trip to GRACE Public School Skardu to enhance the art and craft skills in children in the mountainous remote region of Baltistan. The workshop aimed to provide children with creative opportunity to express their observations, dreams, fantasies and skills. Nature of workshop was more like group activity rather than to instruct in a conventional way. Group exercises and interactive activities helped children to express their ideas and to gain confidence. Ultimately having some art works produced by the children and GRACE planned to exhibit them. On the base of such workshop experience we can work for children broadly in future and this will enhance the scope of work for GRACE Association's early childhood care and development programs. The programme helped children nurture their skills and portray their imagination and creativity.
